Bio

Chase Kriner is the son of Bruce and Lori Kriner. Chase was a member of the Wellsboro football team from 2000 to 2003. During his time with the Hornets, Chase gathered 3 Varsity Letters, was selected as an honorable mention Defensive End in 2002, and earned First Team honors at Tight End in both the NTL and District 4 in 2003.

In addition to these honors, Chase was also selected as a Third Team All-State Tight End. Along with football in high school, Chase was also a member of the track and basketball teams. In his senior seasons, Chase was a three sport captain, went to District in track for javelin, and won the Larue Wilson Memorial Trophy as an outstanding senior basketball player.

Chase currently attends Mansfield University majoring in Elementary Education. In 2006, Chase was hired as an assistant Varsity Men's basketball coach for the Hornets.

Coaches Comments

Chase's attitude and determination this season proved to be a valuable asset for this football team. Chase thrived on making "big plays" and always seemed to come through. Chase proved to be one of the best tight ends in the NTL and helped anchor a very solid defensive line. In my mind, Chase brings an attitude to the game that is not teachable. Chase played every down to the best of his ability and proved that he is among the area's best football players with big games against quality opponents. As I look back on this season, I can never remember a time when Chase did not want the ball. Chase, I hope this attitude and determination you bring to the game of football will carry on with you into the game of life. Your attitude is great, and you have served as a great role model for young athletes within our program. Keep up the good work!
