Bio

Ed Weaver is the son of Jeff and Linda Weaver. Ed was a member of the Wellsboro football team from 2000 to 2003, where he accumulated 3 Varsity Letters and was selected as an honorable mention offensive tackle to the "All-NTL Team" in his senior year. In addition to football, Ed was also a member of the track team in 2001 and 2002.

In 2006, Ed was hired by the Wellsboro Area School District as an assistant Varsity football coach. Ed worked with the Running Backs and Linebackers for three years, where he helped guide 1,000 yard rusher Pat Driebelbies and Aaron Moss (144 tackles) to career years in 2008.

Ed attended Pennsylvania College of Technology and graduated in December of 2007, earning a degree in Web and Applications Development. Ed currently works at Schoolwires in State College, Pennsylvania and is the creator of WellsboroFootball.com and WellsboroAthletics.com.

Coaches Comments

Ed has had what coaches call a "breakout" year. Ed has improved weekly since the beginning of summer camp, and that has helped him to earn the respect of many coaches around the area. Ed faced many obstacles throughout the season but always seemed to perform when it came time for a big game. Ed proved to be a valuable asset to the team when he was forced to play both offense and defense from the beginning of the season. Ed, you were able to overcome playing in pain and various other obstacles throughout the season. I hope you will carry this with you as you move into the real world. You became a good football player through hard work and determination. Keep up the good work!
