Coaches Comments
When I think of attitude and determination to succeed, I think of Willie and his approach to football during the 2004 football season. Willie proved to be a valuable asset to the team on countless occasions, and helped to lead the defense in many outstanding performances. Through 7 games in 2004, Willie accounted for a team high 20 solo tackles and 54 assisted tackles. Willie's contributions to special teams and offense were recognized as well. In 2003, Willie was named as NTL Honorable Mention at Linebacker, and in 2004 is very deserving of the same honors. Within the program, Willie could always be noticed paying attention to our younger athletes and helping other players to become better. Willie is what I would consider a "class act." Day in and day out, Willie would knock a teammate down but immediately help him up. On many occasions, Willie would play through pain and do whatever was in the best interest of the team. For this reason, I am confident that Willie will be successful in the most important game of all, life. Willie, I wish you the best of luck in the future, and hope that with your work ethic and determination, you can accomplish whatever you wish. Good luck.
