Bio

Chet Johnson is the son of Joel and Trina Johnson. Chet was a member of the Hornets from 2003 to 2006, and started playing football in his freshman year. Along with football, Chet has also participated in cross country, baseball, and basketball.

Chet is currently serving in the United Sates Marines Corps.

Coaches Comments

Chet has what some players can only dream on having, and that is speed. Throughout the course of the past four seasons, Chet has always seemed to make big plays during critical times. On many occasions, I would find myself getting upset with Chet about being out of position or not doing what we have coached him to do. But for some reason, Chet was always able to make the play or get to the ball because of his speed and determination to make a play. I look back to the first game of the season in South Williamsport and Chet broke a long return to set up a touchdown. When Chet first caught the ball, it looked as though he wasn't going to use his blockers and even came close to getting to the wedge when all of a sudden, he broke completely free off all defenders and scrambled down the sideline for a 57 yard kickoff return that completely changed the momentum of the game. I believe the game of football and the coaching staff has taught Chet many lessons on work ethic and the importance of being a team player. If Chet can carry those lessons on with him throughout life, he will have many days in which he finds himself having success. Good luck!
