Bio

Matt Weaver is the son of Jeff and Linda Weaver. Matt was a member of the Hornets from 2006 to 2008, and started playing football in Sixth Grade for Wellsboro's Small Fry Program, and continued through 8th Grade before going the Varsity squad as a Sophomore. In addition to football, Matt was also a member of the Hornet Varsity Basketball and Track teams.

Matt currently attends Penn State (University Park) majoring in Kinesiology. In his free time, Matt enjoys lifting, spending time with his friends, and playing video games.

Coaches Comments

Matt proves that with hard work and a good attitude anything can be accomplished. Two years ago, Matt set his mind to becoming a better football player and that is what he did. In the off-season, Matt spent many hours in the weight room and worked diligently at becoming a better football player. In 2008, Matt started 10 games at defensive back and played solid football. Besides hard work, Matt also showed a great attitude on and off the field. Many times, Matt was the vocal leader on the sidelines and on the field. Without a doubt, Matt has been one of the most improved players over a four-year period. Matt is a very determined young man and if he can keep this attitude throughout his life he will be very successful at whatever he chooses to pursue. Good luck!
