The 2007 season is officially over. Without an offer from the Eastern Conference committee, the Hornets end their 2007 campaign at 5-5. Players should report to Coach Zuchowski's room today at 3:30 for a meeting. Equipment will be collected at the Middle School on Tuesday afternoon.
In a hard fought contest in a hostile environment, the Wellsboro Hornets lost to the North Penn Panthers, 24-14. With an eighth seed in District IV Class AA playoffs, Wellsboro needed to beat the Panthers to have any chance of making the playoffs. With the loss, the Hornets are out of the District playoff race, but may still make Eastern Conference Playoffs.
Wellsboro currently sits in a three-way tie for eigth place in the Class AA District 4 Playoff Race. Only the top eight teams make it into District play after the end of the regular season. Below are the current standings:

With playoffs on the line and rain in the forecast, the Wellsboro Hornets took on the Wyalusing Rams last night at Wyalusing's Peterson Stadium. For the first time this season, 48 minutes of football would not be long enough to decide the final outcome.

After a day filled with team adversity, the Wellsboro Hornets traveled to Westfield to take on the Cowanesque Valley Indians. Wellsboro, coming off a big Homecoming win last week against Montgomery, looked to do much of the same against the Indians.

The Wellsboro Green Hornets took the field for the last time at home of the season to face the Montgomery Red Raiders. The Hornets came into this week's game at 3-3 after defeating Troy last week, and looked to do much of the same this week. Wellsboro got the ball to start the game, and promptly marched 95 yards downfield.
The Williamsport Sun-Gazette has named Wellsboro this week's team to watch.
Wellsboro has been named the "Team of the Week" by Wink 106. Members of the cheerleading squad will spend time in studio on Thursday guest hosting the night show with D.J. Chase Daniels. D.J. Eric McKay will be broadcasting live from the game Friday night. Thanks to all of those who voted.
