The Wellsboro Hornets begin the 2008 season tonight on the road against Cowanesque Valley. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on WNBT. Come on out and support the team!

The Athens Junior Varsity game scheduled for Monday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m. has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 11 at 11:00 a.m. The game will still be played at Athens. Bus departure time will be announced closer to the game.

The new WellsboroFootball.com website is up and running just in time for the 2008 season. The new website will still feature many of the same features in the old website, but there have been major updates in the new site.

This weekend, the Hornets will travel to Coudersport for a tri-scrimmage with Coudersport and Johnsonburg. The scrimmage will take place at Coudersport's High School practice field at 10:00 a.m.

After a successful week at Lycoming College, the Wellsboro Hornet Varsity team will be off the field for the week before starting training camp on August 11. There are, however, important dates to keep in mind of this week. On Tuesday, August 5, all players are expected to report to the Middle School new gym for equipment pickup.

The 18th annual District 4 North-South All Star Game took place at South Williamsport on Friday, June 27, 2008. The North defeated the South this year by a score of 20-7. Read more of the story here.
