The 19th annual District 4 All-Star game took place last night at South Williamsport's Rodney K. Morgan's Stadium. The North squad had a 14-10 lead at half time, but the South battled back to win 24-14. Wellsboro Seniors Mitch Christman and Pat Driebelbies competed for the North team.

Coach Falk and the Wellsboro Football staff invites all players interested in playing football this season to attend the summer conditioning program beginning Monday, June 22nd. The program will run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday throughout the summer with the coaches monitoring weight lifting sessions from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on those days.

The 2009 District 4 Senior All-Star game will take place on Friday night, June 26 at South Williamsport. Representing Wellsboro this year are Mitch Christman and Pat Driebelbies.

Last night, June 1, the Wellsboro Hornets Sports Booster Club held their annual banquet celebrating the accomplishments of all Wellsboro athletic programs throughout the course of the 2008-2009 school year.

The 1993 Varsity Roster has just been released. The Hornets, who finished the year 6-6 under former head coach Russ Manney, were led by Seniors Chris Morral, Neil Bogaczyk, and Chad Watters.

The Wellsboro Hornets have officially hired new Head Football Coach Brandon Falk. Falk will be taking over the helm after former Head Coach Chris Morral retired after a successful 2008 campaign. Morral spent the past six seasons as the leader of the Hornets and compiled a 28-33 record.
