The Wellsboro Gridders Club has announced their meeting dates for the 2012 calendar year. All meetings will be held at the Wellsboro Community Center from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Seniors Thomas Johnston and Chase Barnes, Junior Ben Shaw, and Freshman Michael Pietropola were recently selected to the Towanda Daily Review All-Region team for the 2011 football season. Johnston was selected as a 2nd team fullback, Barnes was selected as a 3rd team linebacker, Shaw was selected as a 2nd team defensive back, and Pietropola rounds out the selections at 3rd team defensive back.

Head Coach Steve Boyce and the Wellsboro Gridders Club honored the 2011 Senior players this afternoon in Wellsboro. The banquet, which took place at the Masonic Lodge in Wellsboro, featured a nice meal, introductions of each graduating senior by members of the coaching staff, and was capped off by the traditional highlight video.
The Wellsboro Gridders Club will be holding their annual end-of-year banquet on Sunday, December 4 2011 at the Masonic Lodge on Kelsey Street. Dinner will be at 4:00 p.m. and will be followed by a host of events. All Middle School, JV, and Varsity players and their parents are invited to attend. Players are free and parents are $10.00 each.

With the Morton F. Jones Trophy on the line, the North Penn Panthers used three special teams touchdowns to defeat Wellsboro, 42-6. The Panthers blocked a punt, blocked a field goal, and returned a punt for touchdowns to shut out Wellsboro 42-0 at halftime. North Penn's other three touchdowns came on a runs by Jason DeHaven, Marquis Delgado, and Logan Wise.
