Hornets roll over Towanda by 20-6.

The Wellsboro-Charleston Green Hornets rolled to a 20-6 win over winless Towanda last Friday night on the losers field. The victory ran the green and white record to 5 wins, 1 loss and a tie.

Doug Webb, the converted fullback, ran for two touchdowns and Jerry Anderson the other as the Hornets gained a 20-0 halftime edge and coasted the rest of the way for their win. Towanda has lost all of their games this season.

Wellsboro now closes its season Saturday afternoon on the local field. Kickoff time is 2:00 p.m. Let's fill the stands and root the team on as they finish another highly successful season of football.
