Wellsboro loses to Canton, 14-0 after scoreless three periods of play.

Lyle Wright, Bob Most, Gerry Austin, and Gary McNett paced Canton to a 14-0 victory over Wellsboro after both teams had played three periods of scoreless football Saturday afternoon.
Canton's victory gave it a 2-4-3 mark. Wellsboro is 1-7.
Wright connected with Most for a pass play that earned 55 yards for a touchdown early in the final quarter. Most grabbed the ball on the Wellsboro 20-yard line and bolted into the end zone untouched. Austin plunged for the extra point, and Canton led, 7-0.
Canton later quick-kicked to the Wellsboro 11-yard line. On the next play, Wellsboro fumbled in its own end zone and Canton tackle Gary McNett recovered for the tally.
Austin plunged for the extra point to make it Canton 14-0 over Wellsboro.
