Elmira's Edison High School scored three touchdowns in the last period to hand the Wellsboro Green Hornets its third loss of the season 21-0.

The contest was scoreless for three quarters with the Hornets dominating the play the first half.

During that time, the Hornets ran up five first downs to the visitors three and they rushed for 135 yards to Edison's 39. The Hornets had three big scoring opportunities, one coming in the first quarter and two in the second.

After the Hornets took an Elmira punt on the 50-yard line, in four running plays Ivan Kerr had the Hornets on the Elmira 25-yard line. Prevost hit Milhollen with a pass to the 18-yard line and Kerr drove to the 12-yard line in two plays. On the next play, Edison recovered a Hornet fumble on the nine-yard line.

In the second quarter Edison came up with two great goal line stands when they held the Hornets on the three-yard line and again on the two-yard line. Ivan Kerr nearly scored at the end of the first period when he got loose on an end run and scampered 53 yards to the 10-yard line.

Edison scored first early in the last period when they started an 81 yard drive in the third period. With Bensley and Sysowski doing the running, they finally hit paydirt when Wolf threw a pass to Knapp for one yard. Edison went to the air after two line plunges from the one-yard stripe failed.

Edison's second score was set up soon after they scored their first touchdown when the Hornets elected to go for the first down on their own 28-yard line with fourth and four. Prevost tried to pass, but was caught for a seven yard loss and Elmira took over. Sysowski ran it to the 14-yard line, Bensley dashed to the one-yard line then scored on the next play.

Edison struck again after they had kicked off to the Hornets 16-yard line, with Prevost returning it to the 36-yard line. After one incomplete pass, Edison's Jim Bensley intercepted one of Prevost's aerials on the 38-yard line and sped to the Hornet five before he was stopped. Bensley scored two plays later. Bensley booted all three extra points.

It was all Edison the second half, a complete switch from the first half with the Elmira eleven running up nine first downs to the Hornets two and rushing for 127 yards, while holding the Hornets to 13.
