Jersey Shore coasts 43-7; Hornets end campaign 2-9.

Jersey Shore rushed for 390 total yards Friday night as the Bulldogs had no trouble downing the Wellsboro Green Hornets 43-7 at Jersey Shore's High School field.
The Bulldogs ended the season 8-3 while Wellsboro fell to 2-9. Junior fullback Bob McAlister went over the 1,000 yard rushing mark for the season for the Bulldogs with 118 yards on eleven carries. He was complimented by Brad Snyder who gained 89 yards on the evening and Drew Turinski who added 75 yards.
Shore wasted no time. 13 seconds to be exact, denting the scoreboard. Turinski took the opening kickoff from the Hornets and returned it 87 yards for the touchdown. Eric Feerrar added the first of his four extra point conversions as the Bulldogs led 7-0. Later in the period, Snyder found a big hole in the Hornet defense and galloped 43 yards for Shore's second touchdown.
The second stanza was the one which put the game on ice for Jersey Shore. Snyder rumbled 18 yards for one score, Turinski 18 for another, and McAlister four yards for a third Bulldog touchdown. Feerrar and Scott Dersham were successful on the extra points and Wellsboro went to the lockerroom down 35-0.
The third period saw the Hornets score their lone touchdown of the evening. John Driebelbies, the Hornets top rusher this season, ran over from four yards out. Ty Antoine kicked the extra point to make the count 35-7 Jersey Shore.
The lone score of the final quarter came on a one yard run by backup sophomore quarterback Bobby Nagle. Nagle found Bill Turinski in the end zone and hit him for the two-point conversion.
Although Wellsboro finished with a rather disappointing record this season, five of the eleven starters are returning to action next year, which should produce a much improved ball club.
