Coudersport ran out to 21-0 halftime lead then played Wellsboro on even terms in the second half to post a 35-13 non-league football win at Coudersport Friday night.
The loss drops Wellsboro to 3-7 on the season Coudersport improved to 8-2.
A Ray Morales one yard run and Jeff Chilson's extra point boot gave the Falcons a 7-0 lead after one period. Troy Stemmaker's 20 yard touchdown reception and Ryan Cowburn's 65 yard scoring run in the second quarter staked Coudersport to a 21-0 halftime edge.
In the third period, the Falcons lead increased to 35-0 on a Cowburn 16 yard run and a Ryan Gooch 69 yard to jaunt Chilson, who was a perfect five for five on extra point kicks, hit both extra points.
Wellsboro lit their side of the scoreboard in the fourth stanza on touchdown runs by tailback Chris Morral and quarterback Chad Watters. Morral scored on a 12 yard run, Walters banged in from a yard out. Ché Regina bolted the extra point following Morral's score.
Coudersport finished the game with 288 yards rushing on 36 carries Cowburn had 130 yards on only nine totes.
Morral led all rushers on the night, gaming 145 yards on 25 attempts.
The Hornets close out their 1992 season on Friday night, November 13 at home versus Sayre.
