The Athens Bulldogs ran the ball for 220 yards and held Wellsboro to zero yards passing en route to a 14-6 football win at Athens Saturday in the 1994 Northern Tier League opener for both squads.

The Welkboro Hornet football team traveled to Jersey Shore Friday, and turned in by far and away their top performance to date. The Hornets, 0-2 going into the game, stung Jersey Shore 22-6 to record win number one.
