The Wellsboro High School football team completed their season with a 5-6 record Saturday following a 20-14 loss to Lake Lehman.

The Eastern Conference playoff game was played at Lake Lehman.

The Black Knights scored the game winner early in the third quarter when they took the kickoff, marched down the field and scored on quarterback Mike Woronko's four yard run.

A two-point conversion pass from Woronko to Jason Adamski put Lake Lehman up by six and closed out the scoring. All the other points in the game came in the second period as both teams scored a pair of touchdowns.

Lake Lehman got on the board first when Mike Pitcavage scored on a one yard blast. The extra point attempt was blocked and the Black Knights led 6-0.

Pitcavage finished as the game's top ground gainer, churning out 141 yards on 26 carries.

Jared Mahon scored two quick touchdowns for Wellsboro, both on one yard runs. Ché Regina added both point after kicks giving Wellsboro their biggest lead, 14-6.

Lake Lehman rallied however, and scored on a 50 yard pass play from Woronko to Tim Waslick with just under two minutes left in the first half.

The Black Knights' two-point conversion try to tie the game was stuffed and the visiting Hornets led 14-12 at the half.

Ian Carson ran the ball 18 times for 106 yards for Wellsboro, Mahon added 93 yards on 11 tries and a pair of touchdowns.
