Hornets sting Indians.
Well fans - here we are. Football season is upon us and Wellsboro is starting off with a bang! The Hornets took on the Indians as they traveled to Cowanesque Valley, coming home victorious, 41-8.
Hornets Sting Troy.
Wellsboro traveled to Troy on Friday night, September 5 to take on the Trojans and were on fire, as they ran for a 35-10 victory to improve to 2-0 in the NTL.
Dragons defeat Wellsboro, 34-7.
The Hornets played host to Lewisburg on Friday, September 12, suffering their first loss of the season, 7-34. Both Lewisburg and Wellsboro headed into the matchup undefeated, 2-0.
Hornets Sting Rams, 54-0.
The Wellsboro Hornets came out with intensity and ended with the same intensity, just as coach Chris Morral had asked for, with a 54-0 victory over the Wyalusing Rams to improve to a 3-1 record for the season.
Hornets oust Sayre.
Recognition was given to the 1958-59 Hornet football sqaud at halftime of the game Friday, when Wellsboro played host to Sayre, as being the only undefeated team in history at Wellsboro, as the Hornets also posted the win over the Redskins, 54-6.
Towanda boasts 40-12 win over Hornets.
The Wellsboro Hornets traveled to Towanda on Friday, October 3, suffering a 12-40 loss to post a 4-2 record overall for the season.
Athens dominate Hornets.
The Wellsboro Hornets suffered a 7-40 blow on Friday night, October 10, at their annual homecoming celebration, taking on the Wildcats of Athens.

CANTON - As shifty Canton running back Tyrell Wheeler weaved through a broken field and toward the end zone, Wellsboro's district playoff hopes started fading.
Hornets crush Tigers, prepare for rival Panthers.
Wellsboro's Cameron Jones lifted a 51 yard pass to Garrett Stager in the first offensive play of the night, as the Hornets traveled to East Juniata to take down the Tigers in a 55-17 victory.

The Wellsboro Hornets went out onto the field Friday night, October 31 with a mission, focused and determined to bring back the Morton Jones Trophy, and they did just that with a 28-7 victory over the Panthers of North Penn.
Athens downs Wellsboro.
ATHENS - The Wildcats picked up a huge victory Saturday night to advance to the second round of the District IV playoffs by knocking off fellow NTL Large School team Wellsboro, 43-6.
