The Wellsboro Hornets suffered yet another NTL league loss, to Troy on Friday night, October 22.
"Usually it is the size of the defense that gets in the guys' way," commented Wellsboro head coach Brandon Falk. "This week we had an opportunity following a big play to pull within one score before the half, but literally ran out of time. On the 12-yard line with five second to play in the half."
"The young players are getting a lot of playing time this year. Our roster on Friday contains a number of sophomores that are playing the seniors from other schools. We are a J.V. team that is playing a varsity schedule."
"Next year those players will have more experience and will be more confident in their abilities after having dealt with the growing pains of this season."
"Towanda is a big team," continued Falk. "A strong and consistent physical and mental effort will allow the boys the chance to be successful against a good opponent."
