Bio
Since moving to Wellsboro in 1998, Coach Darrell Morris has played an active role in coaching football for the Wellsboro Hornets. Coach Morris got his start at Wellsboro in 1998 under then head coach Keith Dils, and continued working with the Varsity staff until the end of the 2000 season under Mike Pietropola.
In 2001, Coach Morris took over the Head Coaching duties at the Middle School, and remained there until the end of the 2004 season. During those four seasons at the Middle School, Coach Morris compiled a 13-14-1 record. After relinquishing the Head Coaching duties back to former coach Jim Dinsmore, Coach Morris moved back to the Varsity staff for two years as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line coach under Chris Morral.
Since giving up coaching in 2006 to spend time with his family, Coach Morris helped out the Varsity staff on Friday nights from the press box. Coach Morris is now the head coach of the Middle School girls basketball team.
Coach Morris currently lives in Wellsboro with his wife Melissa and his daughters Chelsea and Emily, and teaches seventh grade Geography at the Rock L. Butler Middle School.
