The Rev. Wade Stewart Memorial Award is given to a member of the varsity football team in memory of Samuel Wade Stewart who served the people of Wellsboro until his passing in 1988. Rev. Stewart had a great love for the sport of football. The recipient of this award distinguishes himself with his leadership by example, commitment to the program, respect for the coaching staff and officials, and exhibits and instills a positive belief in self and team.
