LEWISBURG - Once again in 2010, the Towanda Black Knights were not destined to be Dragonslayers. Just like one year ago, an undefeated Towanda team saw its hopes of a District 4, Class AA football title shattered by the Lewisburg Green Dragons. This time the occasion was the semifinal round and the site was Bucknell's Christy Mathewson Stadium, and the final score was 39-14.
Danville defeats Mt. Carmel to reach district finals.
Behind 213 passing yards from Andy Andreychik, Danville held off Mt. Carmel 38-28 to advance to the District Four final.
Southern Columbia wins Class A district title.
Southern Columbia captured another District Four, Class A title as they blew out Line Mountain, 48-13.

TOWANDA - The Towanda Knights took on the Hughesville Spartans and took them down to the tune of 56-21.
Mt. Carmel tops North Penn.
BLOSSBURG - When a game finishes 45-14, it may appear to be a blowout, but in Mt. Carmel's win over North Penn there was a moment that will keep the Panther side wondering 'what if.' That being said, Mt. Carmel took full advantage and never looked back.
Danville races past Wyalusing.
DANVILLE - For the first 22 minutes of Friday night's District 4, Class AA quarterfinal game, the eight-seeded Wyalusing Rams played the undefeated, top-seeded Danville Ironmen on even terms, 14-14. Then the Ironmen struck for two touchdowns in the last two minutes of the first half and the Rams could never recover, going down to defeat 62-20 to a Danville team which showed the ability to score at any time from any place on the field.
Canton falls to Southern Columbia in a shoot-out.
