Cowanesque Valley got a big game from Matt Barber as they picked up an NTL Small School football win Friday.

Barber had 116 yards rushing on 23 carries to lead the Indians to the 23-6 win.

CV led 7-0 after the first quarter, then outscored Montgomery 16-6 in the second half to pull away.

Making his first start at quarterback, Seth Huyler had 55 yards rushing and a touchdown on nine carries while going 3-for-8 for 49 yards and two picks through the air.

Jace Bieser had nine carries for 30 yards and score while Trenton Fousnought had five carries for 15 yards and a touchdown.

Kurtis Easton made two catches for 39 yards to lead the Indians.

Cole Gruver led CV in tackles with seven while Fousnought had two sacks.

The Indians play host to Muncy next Friday.
